İrem ARGIN, a Master's student in the Molecular Biotechnology Program at the Institute of Science and a Research Assistant in the same department at Turkish-German University, successfully represented our university at the 24th IAA Humans in Space Conference (HIS), held in Italy from April 20–24, 2026.

At the conference, she presented the study titled "Classification of EEG Features Measured During Cognitive Workload in Dry Immersion as an Analog of Microgravity." The research investigated the effects of space conditions on human physiology and cognitive processes by analyzing EEG data collected under mental workload within a microgravity simulation environment.

The study was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Dilek Göksel DURU (Turkish-German University) and Prof. Adil Deniz DURU (Marmara University), with contributions from İpek YILMAZ, a graduate of our Computer Engineering Department, and Sercan SEVEN, a fourth-year student in the Department of Molecular Biotechnology at Turkish-German University
